Ingredients

  • 300 g ground beef (85% lean)
  • 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 bird's eye chilies, sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (gluten‑free if needed)
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tsp erythritol or monk fruit sweetener(optional)
  • 450 g shirataki rice (drained and rinsed)
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. 1

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium‑high heat. Add the minced garlic and sliced chilies, sauté 30 seconds until fragrant.

  2. 2

Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula; cook 5‑7 minutes until browned and cooked through.

  3. 3

Stir in the soy sauce, fish sauce, and optional sweetener; mix well and cook another 1 minute.

  4. 4

Add the fresh Thai basil leaves, toss until wilted (about 30 seconds), then remove the skillet from heat.

  5. 5

Meanwhile, in a separate pan, briefly stir‑fry the drained shirataki rice for 2‑3 minutes to remove excess moisture.

  6. 6

Divide the shirataki rice among three plates and top each with the basil‑beef mixture. Serve immediately.
