Ingredients

  • 1 lb Flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp Honey or brown sugar
  • 2 cups Broccoli florets
  • 1 large Red bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp Sesame seeds(optional)
  • 2 stalks Green onions, sliced(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, minced ginger, garlic, sesame oil, and honey to create the sauce.

  2. 2

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.

  3. 3

Add the beef in a single layer and sear until browned, about 2-3 minutes. Remove beef from the pan and set aside.

  4. 4

Add the remaining tablespoon of oil to the pan. Stir-fry the broccoli and bell peppers for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.

  5. 5

Return the beef to the pan and pour the sauce over the mixture.

  6. 6

Toss everything together for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and vegetables.

  7. 7

Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving over rice or noodles.
