15-Minute Sesame Ginger Noodles

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Lo mein or spaghetti noodles
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp Fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp Brown sugar(optional)
  • 2 stalks Green onions, sliced
  • 1 tsp Toasted sesame seeds(optional)
  • 0.5 tsp Red pepper flakes(optional)

Instructions

    Boil a large pot of water and cook the noodles according to package instructions (usually 5-8 minutes).

    While noodles cook, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, rice vinegar, and brown sugar in a small bowl.

    Drain the noodles, reserving 2 tablespoons of the pasta water.

    Return the noodles to the pot over low heat. Pour the sauce and reserved pasta water over the noodles.

    Toss for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the noodles evenly.

    Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions, sesame seeds, and red pepper flakes before serving.
