Sausage and Pepper Skillet

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Italian Sausage links
  • 3 large Bell peppers, assorted colors
  • 1 medium Yellow onion
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon Red pepper flakes(optional)
  • to taste Salt and black pepper

Instructions

    Slice the sausages into 1-inch rounds. Slice the peppers and onions into thin strips.

    Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

    Add the sausage slices and cook until browned on both sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove sausage from the skillet and set aside.

    In the same skillet, add the onions and peppers. Sauté for 8-10 minutes until softened and slightly charred.

    Stir in the minced garlic, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

    Return the sausage to the skillet. Toss everything together and cook for another 2 minutes to ensure everything is heated through.
