Ingredients

  • 14 oz extra-firm tofu
  • 1 tbsp tikka spice mix (garam masala)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 4 count tortillas (small/medium)
  • 2 tbsp cilantro, chopped(optional)
  • 1 tsp hot sauce (optional)(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Prep (15 min): Press tofu for 5 minutes, then pat dry and cut into bite-size cubes. In a bowl, mix garam masala, smoked paprika, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss tofu with the spice mix and 1 tbsp olive oil, then let sit while you prep the slaw (lime juice, yogurt, cabbage, and cilantro).

  2. 2

Cook (15 min): Heat remaining 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add tofu in a single layer and cook 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally, until crisp and browned.

  3. 3

Finish: Warm tortillas in the skillet for 30–60 seconds each. Assemble tacos with tofu and a generous spoonful of yogurt-lime slaw. Serve immediately.
