Lemon Garlic Shrimp Linguine

Ingredients
- 1 lb Linguine pasta
- 1 lb Large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tbsp Unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 4 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
- 0.5 tsp Red pepper flakes(optional)
- 2 tbsp Fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp Lemon zest
- 0.25 cup Fresh parsley, chopped
- to taste Salt and black pepper

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook linguine according to package directions until al dente.

While pasta cooks, heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

Stir in the lemon juice and lemon zest, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.

Drain pasta, reserving 1/4 cup of the pasta water.

Add the cooked linguine, shrimp, and parsley to the skillet. Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water if the sauce needs thinning.

Serve immediately with an extra garnish of parsley or lemon wedges.
