Ingredients

  • 250 g ground beef (80% lean)
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp mango chutney
  • 2 burger buns
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for grilling)(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

In a bowl, combine the ground beef, cumin, coriander, chili flakes, salt, and pepper; mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a patty about 1 cm thick.

  3. 3

Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil if desired, and grill the patties for about 4‑5 minutes per side, until they reach an internal temperature of 71°C (160°F).

  4. 4

While the burgers finish cooking, toast the buns lightly on the grill.

  5. 5

Assemble each burger with a patty on the bottom bun, top with a tablespoon of mango chutney, and cover with the top bun.
