Honey Garlic Shrimp

Tender shrimp seared in a sweet and sticky honey garlic sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp
  • 0.33 cup honey
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger(optional)
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 2 stalks green onions(optional)

Instructions

    In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger.

    Place the shrimp in a large bowl or sealable bag and pour half of the sauce over them. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes.

    Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

    Add the shrimp to the skillet (discard the marinade they were sitting in). Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until pink, then flip.

    Pour the remaining half of the fresh sauce over the shrimp and cook for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and the shrimp are cooked through.

    Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately over rice or steamed vegetables.
