Beef and Broccoli Ramen

Ingredients

  • 2 packs Instant ramen noodles
  • 1/2 lb Flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups Broccoli florets
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil
  • 1 tsp Fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp Sesame seeds(optional)

Instructions

    Discard the ramen flavor packets. Cook noodles in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until tender, then drain and set aside.

    In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic.

    Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the beef slices in a single layer and sear until browned, about 2 minutes. Remove beef from the pan.

    Add broccoli florets and a splash of water to the same pan. Cover and steam for 2 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.

    Return the beef to the pan and add the cooked noodles.

    Pour the sauce over the mixture and toss everything together for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the ingredients.

    Garnish with sesame seeds and serve immediately.
