Ingredients

  • 1 lb Boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 0.5 tsp Ground black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 2 pcs Pita bread
  • 1 medium Cucumber
  • 0.5 cup Plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 medium Tomatoes
  • 0.5 tsp Dried dill (or fresh dill)(optional)
  • 1 tsp Red wine vinegar (or extra lemon juice)(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Prep (10 minutes): Thinly slice the chicken. Mince 1 clove of garlic and mix with lemon juice, 1 tbsp olive oil, oregano, pepper, and 1/4 tsp salt; toss with the chicken.

  2. 2

Prep tzatziki (10 minutes, while chicken marinates): Grate cucumber, squeeze out excess water, then stir with Greek yogurt, remaining minced garlic, dill (if using), vinegar (if using), and 1/4 tsp salt.

  3. 3

Cook (15 minutes): Heat remaining 1 tbsp olive oil in a pan over medium-high. Cook chicken 6–8 minutes, flipping once, until cooked through. Warm pita in the same pan for 1 minute per side.

  4. 4

Assemble: Slice tomatoes. Split pitas, add chicken, top with tomatoes and tzatziki, and serve immediately.
