Ingredients

  • 1 lb baby bok choy
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt(optional)
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Rinse the baby bok choy thoroughly and cut in half lengthwise; mince the garlic. (5 minutes prep)

  2. 2

Heat the vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes, if using, and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  3. 3

Add the bok choy cut-side down and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the edges brown slightly and the greens begin to wilt.

  4. 4

Add the soy sauce and toss to coat. Cover and cook for 2-3 more minutes until the stems are tender-crisp. (8 minutes total cook time)

  5. 5

Drizzle with sesame oil, season with salt if needed, and serve immediately.
