Ingredients

  • 12 oz Large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Lime juice
  • 1 tsp Lime zest
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Butter(optional)
  • 1/2 tsp Ground cumin(optional)
  • 1/4 tsp Chili powder(optional)
  • 1/4 tsp Salt(optional)
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper(optional)
  • 8 leaves Romaine lettuce leaves

Instructions

  1. 1

Prep (10 minutes): Pat shrimp dry, mince garlic, zest and juice the limes, and separate lettuce leaves.

  2. 2

Cook (10 minutes): Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook until pink, about 2–3 minutes per side.

  3. 3

Add garlic and cook 30–60 seconds until fragrant. Stir in lime juice, lime zest, and (if using) cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper; simmer 1–2 minutes to coat the shrimp.

  4. 4

Finish and serve: Turn off heat and stir in butter (optional) until melted. Spoon shrimp into lettuce leaves and serve immediately with an extra squeeze of lime if desired.
