Ingredients

  • 2 small (about 10 oz total) boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 cloves, minced garlic
  • 1 juiced lime
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 small (8-inch) flour tortillas
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheese(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Pat chicken dry and season both sides with cumin and salt. Mince the garlic and juice the lime.

  2. 2

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken 6-7 minutes per side until golden and cooked through (165°F internal).

  3. 3

Add minced garlic to the skillet during the last 2 minutes of cooking, stirring so it doesn't burn. Remove chicken, squeeze lime juice over it, and let rest 3 minutes, then slice or shred.

  4. 4

Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for 20-30 seconds.

  5. 5

Assemble tacos: fill each tortilla with chicken, top with salsa, shredded lettuce, and cheese if using. Serve immediately.
