Ingredients
- 3 pounds Baby back pork ribs
- 1/4 cup Brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne pepper(optional)
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 teaspoon Liquid smoke(optional)
Instructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C) and line a large baking sheet with heavy-duty aluminum foil.
- 2
Remove the thin membrane (silverskin) from the back of the ribs by lifting a corner with a knife and pulling it off with a paper towel.
- 3
In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne.
- 4
Rub the spice mixture generously over both sides of the ribs, pressing it into the meat.
- 5
Wrap the ribs tightly in foil, seam side up, and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until the meat is tender and pulling away from the bone.
- 6
Carefully open the foil and drain any excess liquid; brush a thick layer of BBQ sauce over the top of the ribs.
- 7
Change the oven setting to Broil and place the ribs back in for 3-5 minutes until the sauce is bubbly and slightly charred.
- 8
Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before slicing between the bones to serve.
