Ingredients

  • 3 pieces Mahi‑Mahi fillets
  • 1/4 cup All‑purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 3 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp Sichuan peppercorns
  • 3 large, minced Garlic cloves
  • 2 small, thinly sliced Fresh red chilies
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp Fresh cilantro(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Pat the Mahi‑Mahi fillets dry, then season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

Place the flour in a shallow dish and lightly dredge each fillet, shaking off excess.

  3. 3

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium‑high heat; add the fillets and fry 4‑5 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through. Transfer to a plate and keep warm.

  4. 4

Reduce heat to medium, add butter to the same skillet, and let it melt. Stir in Sichuan peppercorns, minced garlic, and sliced chilies; cook 1‑2 minutes until fragrant.

  5. 5

Add lemon juice and stir to combine, then return the fried fillets to the pan, tossing them briefly to coat with the chili‑garlic butter.

  6. 6

Serve immediately, garnished with optional cilantro if desired.
