Classic Street Tacos

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Flank Steak
  • 12 small Corn Tortillas
  • 0.5 cup White Onion
  • 0.5 cup Fresh Cilantro
  • 2 wedges Lime
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • to taste Salt and Pepper
  • 0.25 cup Salsa Verde(optional)

Instructions

    Finely dice the white onion and chop the fresh cilantro. Mix them together in a small bowl.

    Slice the flank steak into very small, bite-sized cubes. Season with salt, pepper, cumin, and garlic powder.

    Heat olive oil in a large cast-iron skillet over high heat until shimmering.

    Sear the steak in batches to ensure browning, cooking for about 3-5 minutes until charred and cooked through.

    In a separate dry skillet or over an open flame, warm the corn tortillas until soft and slightly charred.

    Double up the tortillas for each taco, fill with a generous portion of steak, and top with the onion-cilantro mix.

    Serve immediately with fresh lime wedges and optional salsa.
