Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground beef (80/20)
- 1 lb Ground lamb
- 1/2 cup Yellow onion, grated and drained
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 tsp Dried oregano
- 1 tsp Ground cumin
- 1 1/2 tsp Kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper
- 1 tsp Dried marjoram(optional)
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 6 pieces Warm pita bread
- 1/2 cup Tzatziki sauce

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and lightly grease a large rimmed baking sheet with olive oil.

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground lamb, grated onion, minced garlic, and all the dry spices.

Using your hands or a stand mixer, mix the meat vigorously for 3-5 minutes until it forms a tacky, paste-like consistency.

Press the meat mixture firmly onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading it into a thin, even rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.

Bake for 15-20 minutes until the meat is cooked through and the edges begin to brown and crisp.

Remove from the oven and carefully drain off any excess fat from the pan.

Slice the meat rectangle into thin strips using a knife or pizza cutter.

Serve the crispy meat strips inside warm pita bread topped with a dollop of tzatziki sauce.
