Ingredients

  • 6 large Granny Smith Apples
  • 0.5 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 cup Old Fashioned Rolled Oats
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted Butter, chilled and cubed
  • 1 pinch Salt

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x9 inch baking dish.

  2. 2

Peel, core, and slice the apples into thin wedges.

  3. 3

In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with granulated sugar and half of the cinnamon until evenly coated, then spread them into the baking dish.

  4. 4

In another bowl, combine the oats, flour, brown sugar, remaining cinnamon, and salt.

  5. 5

Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to work the chilled butter into the oat mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.

  6. 6

Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the apples.

  7. 7

Bake for 40-45 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the apples are bubbling and tender.

  8. 8

Let cool for 10 minutes before serving. Best enjoyed warm with vanilla ice cream.
