Ingredients
- 600 g Pork loin, trimmed and cubed
- 3 tablespoons Low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Erythritol (or other zero-calorie sweetener)
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Fresh ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon Chinese five‑spice powder
- 1 tablespoon Olive oil
- 2 stalks Green onions, sliced for garnish(optional)
Instructions
- 1
In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, erythritol, minced garlic, grated ginger, five‑spice powder, and olive oil to form the Char Siu marinade.
- 2
Add the cubed pork loin to the marinade, toss to coat evenly, and let it sit at room temperature for 15 minutes while you preheat the grill or broiler to high heat.
- 3
Thread the marinated pork cubes onto skewers, leaving a small gap between pieces for even cooking.
- 4
Place the skewers on the hot grill or under the broiler, cooking for about 8‑10 minutes per side, turning once, until the pork is nicely charred and reaches an internal temperature of 63 °C (145 °F).
- 5
Remove from heat, let rest for 2 minutes, then drizzle any remaining pan juices over the skewers and garnish with sliced green onions if desired.
