Ingredients
- 300 g Char siu pork, thinly sliced
- 12 large leaves Butter lettuce leaves, separated
- 1 Ripe avocado
- 2 tbsp Fresh lime juice
- 1 cup Shredded green cabbage
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 clove Garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp Ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp Chili powder
- 1 tbsp Low-sodium soy sauce
- to taste Salt(optional)
- to taste Black pepper(optional)
Instructions
- 1
In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- 2
Add the thinly sliced char siu pork, sprinkle with cumin, chili powder, and soy sauce, and cook, stirring occasionally, until the pork is heated through and slightly caramelized, about 8‑10 minutes.
- 3
While the pork cooks, prepare the avocado‑lime crema: mash the avocado in a bowl, stir in lime juice, a pinch of salt, and black pepper to taste; set aside.
- 4
Place the shredded cabbage in a separate bowl and toss lightly with a dash of salt and pepper.
- 5
To assemble, lay a butter lettuce leaf on a plate, spoon a portion of the cooked char siu pork onto the leaf, top with shredded cabbage, and drizzle with avocado‑lime crema.
- 6
Repeat for the remaining lettuce leaves to make 12 wraps (approximately 4 per serving). Serve immediately.
