Ingredients
- 2 fillets Salmon fillets
- 3 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 1 tbsp Rice vinegar
- 1 tsp Sesame oil
- 1 clove Garlic
- 1 tsp Fresh ginger
- 3 cups Broccoli florets
- 1 tbsp Sesame seeds
- 2 tbsp Water(optional)
- 1 tsp Cornstarch(optional)
Instructions
- 1
Prep (10 minutes): Mince the garlic and ginger. Whisk soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and the garlic/ginger in a bowl; set aside.
- 2
Cook salmon (about 7 minutes): Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add salmon skin-side down (if applicable) and cook 3–4 minutes, then flip and cook 2–3 minutes more.
- 3
Glaze (about 3 minutes): Reduce heat to medium. Pour in the teriyaki mixture and simmer, spooning glaze over the salmon, until glossy and lightly thickened, about 2–3 minutes. If you want it thicker, stir cornstarch with water and simmer 30–60 seconds.
- 4
Cook broccoli (about 5 minutes): While salmon finishes, steam broccoli until bright green and tender-crisp (or sauté with a splash of water in the same skillet) for about 4–5 minutes.
- 5
Finish (about 0–1 minute): Plate salmon and broccoli. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the broccoli (and/or salmon) and spoon any remaining glaze over the top. Serve immediately.
