Ingredients
- 500 grams Ground Beef or Lamb
- 1 medium Yellow Onion, finely grated
- 0.5 cup Fresh Parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon Baharat or Seven Spice blend
- 0.5 cup Tahini paste
- 0.25 cup Lemon juice
- 3 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
- 0.75 cup Warm water
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 2 tablespoons Pine nuts, toasted(optional)

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.

In a large bowl, combine the meat, grated onion, parsley, spice blend, and half the salt; mix by hand until well incorporated.

Shape the mixture into small oval-shaped balls (koftas) and place them in the baking dish.

Bake the koftas for 15 minutes until they are browned on the outside and partially cooked through.

While the meat bakes, whisk together the tahini, lemon juice, minced garlic, remaining salt, and warm water until the sauce is smooth and creamy.

Remove the baking dish from the oven and pour the tahini sauce evenly over the koftas.

Return the dish to the oven and bake for another 10-15 minutes until the sauce thickens and bubbles.

Garnish with toasted pine nuts and extra parsley before serving hot with pita bread or rice.
