Ingredients

  • 1 lb Chicken wings
  • 2 tablespoons Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds(optional)
  • 1 tablespoon Green onion, sliced(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat a smoker or grill to 225°F (107°C) and add applewood chips for smoke.

  2. 2

Pat the chicken wings dry, then season lightly with salt and pepper.

  3. 3

Place the wings on the smoker rack and smoke for 30 minutes, turning once halfway through.

  4. 4

While the wings smoke, whisk together gochujang, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, honey, minced garlic, and sesame oil to create the glaze.

  5. 5

After 30 minutes of smoking, brush the wings generously with the glaze and continue smoking for another 10 minutes, basting once more halfway.

  6. 6

Remove the wings, transfer to a serving platter, and sprinkle with optional sesame seeds and sliced green onion before serving.
