Ingredients

  • 2 pieces Salmon fillets
  • 3 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Mirin
  • 1 tablespoon Granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable oil
  • 1 stalk Green onions(optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

In a shallow dish, whisk together soy sauce, mirin, and sugar until the sugar dissolves; set aside.

  2. 2

Pat the salmon fillets dry, then lightly coat each side with vegetable oil.

  3. 3

Heat a non‑stick skillet over medium‑high heat; add the salmon skin‑side down and sear for 4‑5 minutes until the skin is crisp.

  4. 4

Flip the salmon, pour the soy‑mirin mixture over the fillets, and cook for another 3‑4 minutes, basting with the sauce until the salmon is cooked through and the glaze thickens.

  5. 5

Remove from heat, garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired, and serve immediately.
