- 2 teaspoons Pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 4 cups Large marshmallows
- 1 pinch Salt

- 1 tablespoon Unsalted butter
Instructions
- 1
In a large heavy-bottomed saucepan, whisk together the heavy cream, milk, sugar, and cocoa powder over medium heat.

Stir the mixture constantly until it reaches a gentle simmer, being careful not to let it boil over.

Reduce the heat to low and stir in the chocolate chips and salt until the chocolate is completely melted and the liquid is smooth.
- 4
Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract and the butter for a glossy finish.
- 5
Pour the hot chocolate mixture into a buttered 9x9 inch baking dish or individual ramekins.
- 6
Layer the marshmallows evenly over the top of the liquid until the entire surface is covered.
- 7
Place the dish under a broiler for 1-2 minutes, watching very closely, until the marshmallows are toasted golden brown and beginning to melt together.
- 8
Let the delight sit for 5 minutes to set slightly before serving warm with a spoon.
