Ingredients
- 2 pieces Salmon fillets
- 2 tablespoons White miso paste
- 1 tablespoon Honey
- 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
- 8 stalks Fresh asparagus
- 1 teaspoon Olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds(optional)
- 1 teaspoon Lemon juice(optional)
Instructions
- 1
In a small bowl, whisk together miso paste, honey, soy sauce, and optional lemon juice to form a glaze.
- 2
Pat the salmon fillets dry, brush each side generously with the miso glaze, and set aside for 2 minutes.
- 3
While the salmon rests, trim the woody ends off the asparagus and toss the stalks with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- 4
Place the salmon on a broiler-safe pan and the asparagus on a steaming rack; broil the salmon on high for 4‑5 minutes until the glaze is caramelized and the fish flakes easily.
- 5
Steam the asparagus for 3‑4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
- 6
Serve the salmon topped with optional sesame seeds alongside the steamed asparagus.
