Matcha Green Tea Tiramisu

A modern twist on the classic Italian dessert using matcha-soaked ladyfingers and mascarpone.

Ingredients

  • 250 g Mascarpone cheese
  • 200 ml Heavy cream
  • 60 g Granulated sugar
  • 3 tbsp Matcha powder
  • 200 ml Hot water
  • 20 pieces Ladyfinger biscuits
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract(optional)

Instructions

    In a small bowl, whisk 2 tablespoons of matcha powder with hot water until smooth. Set aside to cool.

    In a large mixing bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.

    In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then gently fold it into the mascarpone mixture.

    Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled matcha liquid, ensuring they are soaked but not falling apart.

    Layer half of the soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a serving dish or individual glasses.

    Spread half of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.

    Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining cream.

    Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.

    Just before serving, dust the top with the remaining 1 tablespoon of matcha powder.
