Ingredients
- 100 g All-purpose flour
- 60 g Unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 20 g Powdered sugar
- 1 Egg yolk
- 150 g Mango puree
- 30 ml Lime juice
- 30 g Granulated sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Chaat masala
- 1 pinch Salt(optional)
Instructions
- 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). In a bowl combine flour, powdered sugar, and a pinch of salt; cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- 2
Add the egg yolk and mix quickly to form a dough. Press the dough into a 6‑inch tart pan, prick the base with a fork, and bake blind for 12 minutes.
- 3
While the crust bakes, whisk together mango puree, lime juice, granulated sugar, the whole egg, and chaat masala until smooth.
- 4
Remove the crust from the oven, pour the mango‑lime mixture into the tart shell, and return to the oven for another 12‑15 minutes, until the filling is set but still slightly wobbling in the center.
- 5
Cool the tart to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
