Lemon Herb Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 0.5 tsp Dried oregano
  • 1 pinch Red pepper flakes(optional)
  • to taste Salt and black pepper

Instructions

    Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt and black pepper.

    Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

    Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer and cook for 2 minutes until they start to turn pink.

    Flip the shrimp and add the minced garlic, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes.

    Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the shrimp are opaque and fully cooked.

    Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, and fresh parsley.

    Serve immediately over rice, pasta, or with crusty bread.
