Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds(optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced(optional)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1

Pat chicken pieces dry and toss with 2 tbsp soy sauce, half the garlic, and black pepper. Let marinate 5 minutes.

  2. 2

Toss chicken with cornstarch until evenly coated.

  3. 3

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry chicken in a single layer 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  4. 4

Drain excess oil, then add remaining garlic to the skillet and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.

  5. 5

Add remaining soy sauce, honey, and rice vinegar; simmer 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.

  6. 6

Return chicken to the skillet and toss 1-2 minutes to coat in the glaze.

  7. 7

Top with sesame seeds and green onions; serve hot.
