Ingredients

  • 200 g Beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 teaspoon Brown sugar
  • 8 large leaves Lettuce leaves (e.g., butter or romaine)
  • 2 tablespoons Ssamjang (optional, for serving)(optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds(optional)
  • 1 stalk Green onion, sliced(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, gochujang, and brown sugar; add the beef strips and toss to coat. Let marinate for 5 minutes while you prep the lettuce.

  2. 2

Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium‑high heat; add the beef and stir‑fry for 3‑4 minutes until browned and just cooked through.

  3. 3

Remove the beef, drizzle any remaining pan juices over the lettuce leaves, then place a few strips of beef onto each leaf, add a dab of ssamjang, sprinkle sesame seeds and green onion if using, and wrap to eat.

  4. 4

Serve immediately while the beef is hot and the lettuce is crisp.
