Ingredients
- 1 pound Large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 ounces Linguine pasta
- 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons Extra-virgin olive oil
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 0.5 cup Dry white wine (or chicken broth)
- 2 tablespoons Fresh lemon juice
- 0.25 teaspoon Red pepper flakes(optional)
- 0.25 cup Fresh parsley, chopped
- to taste Salt and black pepper
Instructions
- 1
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguine according to package directions until al dente.
- 2
While the pasta cooks, melt 2 tablespoons of butter with the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- 3
Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and just opaque. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- 4
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- 5
Pour in the white wine and lemon juice. Bring to a simmer and let the liquid reduce by half, about 3 minutes.
- 6
Stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter until melted and the sauce is emulsified.
- 7
Return the shrimp to the skillet and add the cooked linguine and fresh parsley.
- 8
Toss everything together to coat the pasta in the sauce. Serve immediately with an extra squeeze of lemon if desired.
