Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta

Ingredients
- 12 oz Linguine or Spaghetti
- 1 lb Large Shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tbsp Unsalted Butter
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 5 cloves Garlic, minced
- 0.5 tsp Red Pepper Flakes(optional)
- 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 0.25 cup Fresh Parsley, chopped
- to taste Salt and Black Pepper
- 0.25 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated(optional)

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.

While pasta cooks, season shrimp with salt and pepper.

In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter with the olive oil over medium-high heat.

Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Stir in the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

Add the cooked pasta, shrimp, lemon juice, and half of the parsley to the skillet.

Toss everything together, adding a splash of the reserved pasta water if the sauce needs loosening.

Garnish with remaining parsley and parmesan cheese before serving.
