- 4 cups Chicken broth
- 3 tablespoons Soy sauce (Shoyu)
- 1 tablespoon Mirin
- 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon Fresh ginger, grated
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 pieces Soft-boiled eggs
- 2 stalks Green onions, sliced
- 2 small squares Nori (seaweed) sheets(optional)
- 0.25 cup Bamboo shoots (Menma)(optional)

In a medium pot, heat the sesame oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic and grated ginger until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Pour in the chicken broth, soy sauce, and mirin, then bring the mixture to a gentle simmer for 10 minutes to meld the flavors.

While the broth simmers, boil a separate pot of water and cook the ramen noodles according to the package instructions.
