Ingredients

  • 8 oz oz large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves, minced cloves garlic
  • 1/3 cup cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp tbsp cream cheese
  • 2 cups cups baby spinach
  • 2 tbsp tbsp parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 tsp tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp tsp red pepper flakes(optional)
  • 1 tsp tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp, chopped tbsp fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. 1

Pat the shrimp completely dry and season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.

  2. 2

Melt 1 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the shrimp 2 minutes per side until pink; transfer to a plate.

  3. 3

Lower the heat, add the remaining butter, and sauté the garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  4. 4

Stir in the cream and cream cheese until smooth and simmering.

  5. 5

Add the parmesan and spinach, stirring until the spinach wilts and the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.

  6. 6

Return the shrimp and any juices to the pan, add lemon juice and red pepper flakes, and simmer 1 minute.

  7. 7

Finish with parsley and serve hot, spooning extra sauce over the shrimp.
