Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 Eggs
  • 1 tsp Dried thyme
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 3/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 16 oz Mushrooms
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 cup Beef broth
  • 1/3 cup Heavy cream(optional)
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tbsp Apple cider vinegar(optional)
  • 2 lb Radishes
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil

Instructions

  1. 1

Mix ground beef with egg, thyme, Worcestershire, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties.

  2. 2

Sear patties in a hot skillet with olive oil until browned, 3–4 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate.

  3. 3

In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté sliced mushrooms and onion until deeply browned, 10–12 minutes.

  4. 4

Deglaze with beef broth, scraping browned bits. Simmer 5 minutes to reduce.

  5. 5

Optional: stir in heavy cream for a smoother gravy; add apple cider vinegar for brightness.

  6. 6

Return patties to gravy and simmer until cooked through, 8–10 minutes.

  7. 7

Radish mash: roast radishes (halved) at 425°F/220°C until tender, 20–25 minutes, then mash with salt and a small knob of butter (optional).

  8. 8

Serve Salisbury steak with mushroom gravy over radish mash.
