Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef (80/20 lean)
  • 1 tablespoon Chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.25 cup Tomato sauce
  • 0.25 cup Water
  • 12 pieces Hard taco shells
  • 1 cup Shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 0.5 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup Diced tomatoes
  • 4 tablespoons Sour cream(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Place the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

Cook the beef until fully browned, breaking it into small crumbles with a wooden spoon.

  3. 3

Drain the excess grease from the skillet to ensure the meat isn't too oily.

  4. 4

Stir in the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, tomato sauce, and water.

  5. 5

Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5-7 minutes until the liquid has thickened and coated the meat.

  6. 6

Preheat the taco shells in a 350°F oven for 3 minutes to make them extra crunchy.

  7. 7

Spoon approximately 2-3 tablespoons of the beef mixture into each taco shell.

  8. 8

Top each taco with lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, and a dollop of sour cream before serving.
