Ingredients
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 1 cup Water
- 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
- 0.5 teaspoon Salt
- 0.5 cup Granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon Ground cinnamon
- 2 cups Vegetable oil for frying
- 0.5 cup Dark chocolate chips
- 0.5 cup Heavy cream

In a small bowl, mix the 0.5 cup sugar and cinnamon together; set aside on a shallow plate.

In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

Remove from heat and stir in the flour all at once with a wooden spoon until a ball forms.

Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip.

Heat oil in a deep skillet to 375°F (190°C). Pipe 4-inch strips of dough into the hot oil, cutting with scissors.

Fry until golden brown (about 2 minutes per side), then drain on paper towels.

Roll the warm churros in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.

For the sauce: Heat heavy cream in a small pot until simmering, pour over chocolate chips, let sit for 1 minute, and whisk until smooth.
