Brazilian Pastel de Carne

Ingredients
- 500 grams Pastel dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 300 grams Ground beef
- 1 small Onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 50 grams Green olives, chopped
- 2 units Hard-boiled eggs, chopped
- 500 milliliters Vegetable oil for frying
- to taste Salt and black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Chopped parsley(optional)
Instructions

In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.

Add the chopped onion and garlic to the beef and sauté until the onion is translucent.

Stir in the olives, salt, pepper, and parsley. Remove from heat and let the filling cool completely.

Once the beef is cool, stir in the chopped hard-boiled eggs.

Roll out the pastel dough and cut into rectangles (approx. 10x15cm).

Place a tablespoon of filling in the center of each rectangle.

Fold the dough over the filling and use a fork to press the edges together firmly to seal.

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pan to 180°C (350°F).

Fry the pastéis in batches until they are golden brown and bubbly on both sides (about 1-2 minutes per side).

Drain on paper towels and serve immediately while hot.
