Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry

Ingredients
- 1 lb Flank steak
- 4 cups Broccoli florets
- 0.33 cup Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Brown sugar
- 3 cloves Garlic
- 1 tbsp Fresh ginger
- 1 tbsp Cornstarch
- 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 1 tsp Sesame seeds(optional)

Slice the beef against the grain into thin strips.

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and cornstarch to create the sauce.

Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add broccoli and 2 tablespoons of water; cover and steam for 2 minutes. Remove broccoli and set aside.

Wipe the skillet, add the remaining oil, and increase heat to high. Add beef strips in a single layer and sear until browned, about 2 minutes per side.

Pour the sauce over the beef and stir for 1 minute until the sauce thickens.

Add the broccoli back into the pan and toss to coat everything evenly in the sauce.

Serve hot over rice, garnished with sesame seeds if desired.
