Ingredients

  • 1 cup Short-grain white rice
  • 4 cups Whole milk
  • 0.5 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 piece Cinnamon stick
  • 1 strip Lemon peel
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon(optional)

    In a large saucepan, combine the rice, milk, cinnamon stick, lemon peel, and a pinch of salt.

    Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring frequently to prevent the rice from sticking.

    Reduce the heat to low and simmer, uncovered, for about 30-35 minutes. Stir occasionally until the rice is tender and the mixture has thickened to a creamy consistency.

    Stir in the sugar and continue to cook for another 5 minutes.

    Remove the cinnamon stick and lemon peel.
