Ingredients
- 3/4 cup Warm water (110°F/45°C)
- 1 teaspoon Granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons Active dry yeast
- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup Plain Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 3 tablespoons Za'atar spice blend
- 2 tablespoons Melted butter or additional olive oil for brushing
- 1 clove Minced garlic(optional)

In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast; let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and salt, then create a well in the center.

Pour the yeast mixture, yogurt, and 2 tablespoons of olive oil into the well, stirring until a shaggy dough forms.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 3-5 minutes until smooth and elastic, then let rise in a warm spot for 1 hour.

Divide the risen dough into 6 equal pieces and roll each into an oval shape about 1/4 inch thick.

Heat a heavy cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat and lightly grease with a drop of oil.

Cook each naan for 1-2 minutes until large bubbles form on top and the bottom is charred, then flip and cook for another minute.

Immediately brush the hot naan with melted butter or oil and sprinkle generously with the za'atar spice blend.
