Ingredients
- 3 cups All-purpose flour
- 2 cups Warm water
- 2.25 teaspoons Active dry yeast
- 0.5 cup Granulated sugar
- 0.5 teaspoon Salt
- 1 quart Vegetable oil for deep frying
- 1 cup Powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons Whole milk
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla bean paste
- 0.25 teaspoon Nutmeg(optional)

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, yeast, salt, and nutmeg until well combined.

Gradually pour in the warm water and mix by hand or with a wooden spoon until a smooth, thick batter forms.

Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel and let it rise in a warm place for about 45 to 60 minutes until doubled in size.

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pot over medium heat until it reaches approximately 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Deflate the batter and use your hand or a small scoop to drop small rounds of dough into the hot oil.

Fry the puff puffs, turning frequently, until they are golden brown on all sides, then drain on paper towels.

In a small bowl, whisk the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla bean paste together to create a smooth glaze.
