Ingredients
- 3 large overripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 piece large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon(optional)
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans(optional)

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan thoroughly.

In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.

Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas until well combined.

Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, vanilla extract, and sour cream until the batter is creamy.

Sprinkle the baking soda, salt, and cinnamon over the mixture and stir in.

Gently fold in the flour until just incorporated; do not overmix the batter.

If using, fold in the chopped nuts, then pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.

Bake for 55 to 65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
