  • 1 cup Vegetable oil for frying
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh ginger, minced
  • 4 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Red chili flakes
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Honey or agave nectar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh cilantro, chopped(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Peel the plantains and cut them into 1-inch thick rounds or bite-sized cubes.

  2. 2

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  3. 3

Fry the plantain pieces in batches for 3-4 minutes per side until they are golden brown and crispy.

Remove the plantains from the oil and drain them on a plate lined with paper towels.
