- 1 cup Vegetable oil for frying
- 2 tablespoons Fresh ginger, minced
- 4 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon Red chili flakes
- 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Honey or agave nectar
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 2 tablespoons Fresh cilantro, chopped(optional)
- 1 tablespoon Lime juice

Peel the plantains and cut them into 1-inch thick rounds or bite-sized cubes.

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Fry the plantain pieces in batches for 3-4 minutes per side until they are golden brown and crispy.

Remove the plantains from the oil and drain them on a plate lined with paper towels.

In a separate small pan, heat one tablespoon of oil and sauté the minced ginger, garlic, and chili flakes for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
