Ingredients

Servings:4
  • 1 1/2 lbs Chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 cups Broccoli florets
  • 1/3 cup Soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup Chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh ginger, minced
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon Toasted sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, chicken broth, brown sugar, cornstarch, and sesame oil until smooth.

  2. 2

Heat one tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

  3. 3

Add the chicken pieces and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes, then remove chicken from the pan and set aside.

  4. 4

Add the remaining tablespoon of oil to the same pan and stir-fry the broccoli florets for 3 minutes until bright green and slightly tender.

  5. 5

Stir in the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  6. 6

Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and pour the sauce mixture over the ingredients.

  7. 7

Toss everything together and simmer for 1-2 minutes until the sauce has thickened and coated the chicken and broccoli.

  8. 8

Garnish with sesame seeds and serve immediately over steamed white or brown rice.
