Ingredients

  • 1 lb Large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 0.25 cup Dry white wine or chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 0.25 tsp Red pepper flakes(optional)
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped
  • to taste Salt and black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1

In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter with the olive oil over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

Add the shrimp in a single layer and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and just opaque. Remove shrimp from the pan and set aside.

  3. 3

In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

  4. 4

Pour in the white wine (or broth) and lemon juice. Bring to a simmer and allow the liquid to reduce by half, about 2 minutes.

  5. 5

Whisk in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter until melted and the sauce is emulsified.

  6. 6

Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss with the sauce and fresh parsley for 1 minute to heat through.

  7. 7

Serve immediately over linguine or with toasted bread.
