Ingredients
- 1 lb Sirloin steak
- 12 oz Egg noodles
- 8 oz Mushrooms
- 1 cup Sour cream
- 1 cup Beef broth
- 1 medium Onion
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 2 tbsp All-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp Butter
Instructions
- 1
Boil a large pot of salted water and cook egg noodles according to package directions.
- 2
While noodles cook, slice beef into thin strips and season with salt and pepper.
- 3
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat and sear beef strips until browned. Remove beef from skillet and set aside.
- 4
In the same skillet, add sliced onions and mushrooms. Sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
- 5
Stir in minced garlic and flour, cooking for 1 minute to remove the raw flour taste.
- 6
Slowly whisk in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
- 7
Reduce heat to low. Stir in the sour cream and return the beef to the skillet. Heat through but do not boil.
- 8
Serve the beef and sauce over the cooked egg noodles.
