Ingredients
- 1 cup Whole raw almonds
- 1/2 cup Raisins
- 3 tablespoons Ancho chili powder
- 2 cups Chicken or vegetable broth
- 1/2 cup White onion, chopped
- 2 pieces Garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons Dark chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds(optional)

In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast the almonds for 3-5 minutes until fragrant and golden brown.

Remove almonds and add 1 tablespoon of oil to the same skillet; sauté the onions and garlic until soft.

Add the raisins and chili powder to the skillet, stirring constantly for 1 minute to release the oils.

Transfer the toasted almonds, onion mixture, raisins, and cinnamon into a high-speed blender.

Pour in 1 cup of broth and blend until the mixture is a smooth, thick paste.

Return the paste to the skillet over low heat, adding the remaining broth and chocolate chips.

Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens and the chocolate is fully melted.

Serve warm over roasted chicken or roasted vegetables, garnished with sesame seeds if desired.
