Ingredients
- 400 grams Pasta (Spaghetti or Fusilli)
- 2 cups Fresh Basil Leaves
- 0.5 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 3 tablespoons Pine Nuts
- 0.5 cup Parmesan Cheese
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.

While pasta is cooking, place the basil, pine nuts, garlic, and salt in a food processor and pulse until coarsely chopped.

Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while the processor is running until the mixture is smooth.

Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and black pepper by hand.

Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining the pasta.

Toss the hot pasta with the pesto sauce, adding reserved water as needed to reach desired consistency.
